East bound number 2 lane and park lane remain closed off on Beverly Blvd. from Union Pl. to Loma Dr. Crew excavated and discovered a long split on the bottom of the 12’’ CI main that continued to a mechanical coupling. Mechanical coupling was within 10 ft. of a pressurized gate valve and the water shut off was extended. Now, 55 services affected. Crew making repairs to the water main. Gas company crew will reconnect gas service after water main repairs are complete. Estimated time for main to be back in service is 8:30pm and backfill ,clean up, traffic lanes open is 12:00am.
